1933 Austin 7 RP
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced from 1923 until 1939. It was nicknamed the "Baby Austin" and was, at that time, one of the most popular cars produced for the British market. Its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars of the early 1920s.
This Austin 7 has been part of a private collection for many years. It starts and runs very well, and the engine sounds very sweet. It drives well and thanks to the Bowden conversion the brake performance is much better than that of a standard Austin. It also has 17” wheels with Avon tyres which handles better than an earlier style.
The previous paint job was carried out to a very high standard, although in some areas there is now some patina starting to show. The interior is original, neat and tidy.
