1933 Morris Ten Special Coupe
£5,750
Location: Cranleigh
The Morris Ten is a medium-sized car introduced for 1933 as the company's offering in the important 10 hp sector of the British market. It continued through a series of variants until October 1948 when along with Morris's Twelve and Fourteen it was replaced by the 13.5 hp Morris Oxford MO.
This Morris Ten Special Fixed Head Coupe was originally registered on the 20th January 1933.
The car is fresh from long term storage, it starts and runs well, and all fluids are in the correct places. There is no frost damage to the block and the radiator looks in good condition. The drive train is in working order, there are no nasty noises from the rear axle and the hydraulic brakes work well.
The car is along the lines of an older restoration/oily rag. The paintwork presents well and has a lot of character and patina. The interior looks to be largely original and very much matches the exterior condition.
In recent years the Morris has received a new fuel tank, as well as brake overhaul including brake hoses. The exhaust is new and is also fitted with a new battery.
This car would be more suited to someone who likes to tinker and improve their cars, although it would be unfair to call this a project, a couple of weekends TLC would go a long way!
