1972 MG B GT
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in October 1965 and production continued until 1980. It sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina and launched the sporty "hatchback" style.
This MG B GT was registered on the 25/04/1972 in Guildford. The car has never been out of Surrey and has been in Epsom since 1979.
The car is fresh from long term storage and starts and runs very well. It has had the SU fuel pump replaced in recent years and new fuel hoses have just been fitted under the bonnet. It drives well, the clutch operation is smooth and gears direct, and is complete with working overdrive.
The MG has braided brake hoses, new calipers on the front and wheel cylinders on the rear. It is also fitted with new tyres all round and a stainless steel exhaust system.
There is not a spec of corrosion to the underside, it is not covered with thick underseal and Lanoguard has recently been applied. The paintwork has been hand painted and although it does shine and present well is more amateur than professional.
Finished in the colour coded blue, the interior is in good order with no rips or tears.
The V5 is present with some history and manuals.
Although not considered a project please bear in mind a shake down after storage is a good idea, and some TLC may arise as the car gets back to the road.
